“We should be having an inquiry into why Matt Canavan could possibly keep insisting that burning coal is a beautiful thing, when it is responsible for the climate change that is already destroying lives and livelihoods.
“The coal lobby buys our political parties and politicians, who then push dangerous policies like this, sacrificing the lives and livelihoods of everyday people in the name of corporate profit.
“The majority of Australians want our governments to back clean renewable energy.
“The resources minister is ignoring this and backing the coal lobby who donate millions to his party. It is another crystal clear example of how rigged our political system is”.
