Australian Greens Officeholders - 2026 Call for Nominations

The Australian Greens National Conference and AGM will be held in Adelaide on the weekend of 7-8 November 2026. One of the activities of National Conference is to elect Australian Greens office holders. Any member who wishes to nominate may do so by completing the nomination form (Google form link here, or Word version linked below).

Nominations must include a statement (approximately 500 words) about the nominee and must be supported by two nominators, not including the nominee, who are also Greens members. Please note, the nomination statement will be distributed following the close of nominations and made available to delegates and attendees of National Conference.

The deadline for nominations is 26 September 2026 and late nominations cannot be accepted. Please direct any questions to the Returning Officer: returning.officer@greens.org.au.

The following positions will be elected at National Conference:

• National Convenor

• Deputy National Convenor

• National Secretary

• Deputy Secretary

• National Treasurer

• Deputy National Treasurer

• National Policy Coordinator

• International Secretary

• Deputy International Secretary (subject to agreement by Conference to the creation of this role)

• Councillor to the Asia Pacific Greens Federation

• Alternate Councillor to the Asia Pacific Greens Federation

(Note: the positions on the Council of the Asia Pacific Greens Federation are subject to a proposal to National Conference that these roles be covered by the International Secretary and Deputy International Secretary.)

Google form:

1. Nominee and nominators each complete this form

2. Fill out your information, whether you are a nominee or nominator, and which position(s) your form is for

3. If the nominee - on the second page, nominees enter their nomination statement, make their conflict of interest declaration, and provide their director’s ID (If you do not yet have a director’s ID, please put “NA” in this field but if you are elected you must obtain a Director's ID before taking up your role.)

4. If a nominator - on the second page, nominators enter the name(s) of the person(s) they are nominating and for which role(s)

5. Submit the Google form to complete the nomination by 26 September 2026
