Closing Date
As a recognised political party of the Australian Parliament and through our membership of the Australian Political Exchange Council (APEC), the Australian Greens have been afforded a range of overseas exchange and delegation positions on APEC sponsored trips for 2026
Applications are now open for a Greens delegate place on an APEC delegation to Vietnam. The delegation runs from 11 to 18 April, and includes a mandatory Briefing Day on 10 April.
Selection of Delegates
Delegates must be:
- Australian citizens;
- Party members;
- Between the ages of 25 and 46;
- Politically active individuals who have the potential to make a significant contribution to political life.
Applications are encouraged from all Australian Greens party members, state and federal party employees, state and federal parliamentary employees, and local, state and federal elected representatives who meet the above criteria.
To apply, please submit your CV and a brief cover letter addressing the following selection criteria:
- A demonstrated commitment to the Australian Greens.
- An understanding of how this experience will develop your personal and professional skills as a young political leader.
- A working knowledge of Australian Greens policies, as well as current domestic and international affairs.
Successful applicants are required to submit a written report to the Australian Greens Party Room within 1 month of the completion of their exchange.

Applications close at 5pm AEDT Tuesday 24 February 2026.
