Senator Sarah Hanson-Young is looking for a new team member to be based in Parliament House, Canberra or Adelaide.
As the Greens Manager of Business in the Senate and spokesperson for Environment, Communications & Arts policy, Senator Hanson-Young is looking for someone with the experience and interest to help maximise her work in these areas.
The role requires a strong understanding of the Australian media landscape across all media such as radio, television, print and online, as well as experience in media liaison.
Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential along with experience writing content for publication including media releases, briefs, opinion pieces and speeches.
Applicants should have a strong interest in following political news and current affairs and be familiar in using both traditional and new forms of media to shape political and public debate.
Working in a fast-paced environment, applicants must be able to learn quickly, think on their feet and keep their cool under pressure. This position will require travel.
We are looking for someone with an interest in politics, news and getting things done.
A salary package of between $80k - 110k (plus 15.4% superannuation) will be offered based on skills and experience.
A relocation allowance is available to assist in helping the successful applicant relocate to Canberra if required.
