  1. What do you remember about your first election?

    The first election just after I turned 18 was the 1987 Federal Election. Although at the time I had very little interest in politics, I do remember that I voted 1 Greens for the Senate in SA.

  2. Leadbeater's possum or eastern longneck turtles?

    Both please!

  3. What's your precious place and why?

    Thredbo NSW. It's a beautiful place in all seasons and I love to ski when there's snow.

  4. Favourite Greens policy?

    I don't really have a favourite but if I had to pick, I would go with the Food and the Health policies

  5. Best part of your work with the Greens?

    Knowing that I'm part of a growing global movement.

  6. What keeps you going?

    Greens members, supporters and MPs, plus my two fur-babies.

  7. Favourite political song?

    Imagine by John Lennon

  8. Who inspires you? Why?

    Jane Goodall — for many reasons, including her work with animals, her environmental and humanitarian work, and also her founding of Roots and Shoots in 1991 that brings together youth from preschool to university age to work on environmental, conservation and humanitarian issues.

  9. Comfort food?

    Toasted turkish bread with melted butter and vegemite.

  10. What would you spend $20 billion on?

    Purchasing land/habitat for endangered species to live in without human interference. I'd start with land in Borneo for the orangutans.

  11. Secret vice?

    If I told you that, it wouldn't be a secret anymore.

  12. Best coffee/drink in town?

    I have absolutely no idea!

  13. Three apps you can't live without?

    I reckon I can live without them all — at least I'd be happy to try.

  14. What did you want to be when you grew up?

    A criminologist.

  15. Morning run or night time swim?

    Morning sleep in and night time hot bath.

  16. What's your greatest hope for the future?

    That the human species can learn to live in harmony, with each other, with other living creatures and with nature.

  17. Magic wand to solve one world problem — what would it be?

    Preventing anyone or any corporation patenting and owning any part of nature.

  18. What advice would you give a new volunteer?

    I would talk to them about sustainable activism and avoiding burn-out.

  19. You can travel through time — where do you go?

    I'd go back to the 1960 and experience flower power first hand.

  20. If you weren't doing this for a living, what would you be doing?

    Kitchen and Bathroom Interior Designer.
