NATIONAL CO-CONVENORS: Penny Allman-Payne and Giz Watson
Penny Allman-Payne is a secondary teacher and lawyer. Since joining the Queensland Greens before the Federal Election in 2010 she has served the party in various roles, including lead national council delegate for Queensland and branch convenor. She was co-convenor of the Australian Greens in 2014 with Christine Cunningham, having previously served as national deputy convenor. Penny is also the Queensland Greens convenor for 2015.
Giz Watson joined the Greens WA in 1990 and was an MP in the WA Legislative Council for 16 years. She was Australian Greens deputy convenor last year and was a member of the Constitution Committee.
DEPUTY CO-CONVENORS: Les Mallett and Samantha Ratnam
Les Mallett was most recently Secretary/Assistant Secretary of the Australian Greens Victoria (AGV) and has been a member of the Party since 2005. He is currently a member of the Victorian State Executive and is active on several Standing Committees of AGV.
Samantha Ratnam has been a Councillor at Moreland City Council since 2012 and a past co-secretary of the Australian Greens Victoria. She also works as a social worker in settlement and family services for migrant communities.
NATIONAL SECRETARY: Alex Schlotzer
Alex Schlotzer has a long history with the Greens and has been convenor of Australian Greens Victoria in the past. He currently works for a state union and worked for the Australian Council of Trade Unions on campaigns and policy development. Alex also works on environment issues and is a board director of Electronic Frontiers Australia in his spare time.
DEPUTY SECRETARY: Nathan Daniell
Nathan Daniell is State Secretary for the South Australian Greens and has recently been elected Councillor for the Adelaide Hills Council. He has a PhD in health sciences and currently works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of South Australia. He is also Secretary on the Board of environmental organisation Trees for Life.
TREASURER: Osman Faruqi
Osman Faruqi has been a member of the Greens since 2005. He has been the NSW delegate to the National Election Campaign Committee for the last three years and is a former co-convenor of the NSW Young Greens. He is currently completing a degree in Environmental Engineering and Arts at the University of New South Wales.
DEPUTY TREASURER: David Nelson
David Nelson continues in his role as Deputy Treasurer from last year. He is also Treasurer for the Queensland Campaign Committee for the 2015 State Election.
