Announcing: Australian Greens 2015 National Conference

2015-10-06

Alex Schlotzer (National Secretary)

Every year, the members of the Australian Greens gather for a National Conference to discuss policy and connect face-to-face after working apart on amazing campaigns throughout the year.

This year is going to be particularly big because the full suite of Australian Greens policies have been reviewed and will be considered for endorsement and because the party has been transitioning to a new governance structure, not to mention it's the National Conference before a federal election, which always has a bigger buzz.

To increase the excitement factor we're planning a great program of workshops spanning the whole weekend, expanding on the one workshop day we've had at the last couple of Conferences. All members are invited to join us for skill sharing and workshops exploring some of the big issues facing us today.

And this year we have something extra special. We've arranged the program in such a way that our non-member supporters can participate for one day of our National Conference. When you register for the Conference as a supporter all you need to do is mark the Observer box for Saturday 7 November.

Some of the details are still being finalised and we don't want to give anything away too early — but keep an eye out for more information coming soon.

It's truly a massive year for the Australian Greens as we head into 2016. We look forward to seeing you at National Conference, whether you're a supporter joining us for the Saturday only or a member coming for the workshops over the entire three days we're in Adelaide.

Of course, the real work, as with all conferences, is done during the breaks over terrific food and lots of coffee (the photo above is from a gathering in the evening at last year's Conference in Canberra). Make sure you register to help us with catering!
