An Inspired Adventure

Susan Griffiths-Sussems (National Fundraising Coordinator)

Have you ever imagined gazing out over the inspiring landscapes of the Red Centre?

In a new fundraising initiative for The Greens, we are working with Inspired Adventures to take supporters to the heart of Australia for a seven day trek along the incredible Larapinta Trail.

Inspired Adventures have been partnering with not-for-profit organisations for 13 years, taking supporters all over Australia and the world - helping them to raise over $23 million in the process.

You may have already received an email or two about our inaugural trek since we launched almost a month ago. So far, we have had a very positive response to this initiative. So positive, in fact, we are organising a second trek!

  • Trek 1 adventure dates: July 30 - August 5 2018

  • Trek 2 adventure dates: August 11-17  2018

    • WEBSITE IS IN PRODUCTION (but the itinerary will be the same as Trek 1)

The Larapinta trail is one of this country's best walking tracks. The trail is also on Arrernte land, which means our participants will experience indigenous culture first-hand while following Dreaming Tracks and walking beside one of the world's oldest river systems.

As part of this incredible — and challenging — seven day adventure, the group will travel from the old Alice Springs Telegraph Station to the peak of Mount Sonder along the backbone of the West MacDonnell Ranges.

Interested? You could  make a big contribution to our work, and have fun while you do it. Find out more about our first ever trek to one of this country's most beautiful and precious places.

The Australian Greens acknowledge that our Larapinta Trek will traverse the homelands of the Central Arrernte, Western Arrernte and Luritja peoples.   We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

We acknowledge that this land was never ceded, and has belonged, and always will belong, to the Central Arrernte, Western Arrernte and Luritja peoples.
