Knocking on East Metro Doors (lots of them)

2017-02-23

Mary OByrne

For the last three years the Greens WA have invested heavily in training the membership in effective campaigning skills. Doorknocking is a very definite means of translating the enhanced skill-set into positive results for the party and it gives great joy to be part of a team that goes out and engages with people in their own theatre of concerns  ̶  every householder has a different story and it is our privilege to engage with that story.

Doorknocking involves holding a mirror up to society and engaging with its concerns; but to be effective we really look at individuals and engaging with them in a meaningful way ...

We open the door of opportunity to them to engage with us at many levels  ̶  at the ballot box, on the streets if they want to come doorknocking with us, or here in the Greens office.

Four weeks into our WA2017 Campaign and Team East Metro have knocked on 4,342 doors in Midland, Bassendean, Maylands and Mount Lawley. We've listened more than we've spoken; we haven't pushed our own individual agendas and we are making a difference to a great political party. Feel free to join us, or one of the other great doorknocking teams.
