Greens Senator and Defence Spokesperson David Shoebridge will join with peace activists to speak outside Land Forces 2022, an international defence expo which brings together some of the biggest weapons manufacturers in the world along with key players in government and academia.

Where: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Corner Merivale and Glenelg Streets
Why: To join with Wage Peace and Disrupt Land Forces activists in non-violent protest
Greens Senator David Shoebridge said:
“War frightens the rest of us but for these multi-national arms manufacturers it’s like striking gold - they use our fear to make their fortunes.
“The whole purpose of the arms industry is to win multi-billion dollar government contracts from increasingly sophisticated ways of killing people.
“It’s a twisted, brutal business model and it’s time more politicians stood with peace activists to call it out,” Senator Shoebridge said.
