While the Liberals' suite of tax cuts will result in a $X tax reduction for your personal situation, their mates at the top-end of town (including politicians) who are earning $200,000+ will get a handout of $11,640 -- which makes up the bulk ($95 Billion!) of the Libs' $145 Billion tax cuts package.
This is blatantly inequitable, just ask pre-election Labor -- just don't ask them now though, Labor have just supported this legislation in the House of Reps.
We know how this story goes: every dollar spent giving handouts to the wealthy, is a dollar they'll cut from our public schools and hospitals. They'll use Labor's deficit as an excuse to not properly fund things like domestic violence prevention, while offering Adani a billion dollars, giving $444 million to their mining mates' phoney 'Reef Foundation', or spending $160 million on a plebiscite nobody wanted - when the truth is they've doubled our national deficit and added well over $200 Billion to national debt, despite all their rhetoric on 'financial mismanagement'.
We believe that $95 billion would be better spent on climate action and investing in our public infrastructure.
