Tax the Billionaires

READY TO TAKE ON THE BILLIONAIRES?

Let's make them pay their fair share of tax to fund the essential services we all need.

By signing this, you will also hear from us about our economic fairness campaigns from time to time.

In a wealthy country like ours, everyone should be able to afford the basics: a home, food, and world-class health and education.

Yet billionaires are making out like bandits – while everyone else is being squeezed.

They’re making on average $67,000 per hour (over 1,300 times the average hourly wage in Australia).

It shouldn’t be controversial: Gina Rinehart should not have $40.6 billion in her pocket while millions in this country are resorting to sleeping in tents and cars.

It’s time we turned the tables and made billionaires pay their fair share to fund the services people need.

The Greens have a plan to make Australia’s 150 billionaires pay an annual 10% tax on their net wealth.

Our plan would raise $50 billion over the decade to fund getting dental into Medicare, making it free to see the GP, and 50 cent public transport fares.

But the major parties will not take on the billionaires or big corporations while they’re on the payroll.

Join the Greens’ campaign to take on the billionaires, keep Dutton out, and force Labor to act on making everyday peoples’ lives better.
